Coastal Wave Modelling in the World Surfing Reserve of Ericeira

Summary

This Bilateral Initiative, funded by the Fund of Bilateral Relation of the EEAGrants, aims at applying the state-of-the-art CFD tool REEF3D, developed by NTNU, to model coastal waves in the World Surf Reserve of Ericeira.

Its application to the Ericeira case is intended to bring better and more readily available insights on wave dynamics in that region, to be used at a decision-making level by local authorities and stakeholders, in preservation activities of coastal structures and assets.
